My boyfriend got our mail today and he had ordered a gun sling set for his new gun he got. He put the mail down and I went through looking for bills and such like I always do. He opened his gun sling set and we left the house for about an hour to put it together at his grandparents house. We get home to start dinner before his step-sister comes and I pick up the MANY newspapers we NEVER read and go to throw them away when a tiny package with his name drops from them. I shrug it off just assuming it’s a part for his gun sling he didn’t notice and I mention it to him as I’m stirring our food. He gets excited and does a goofy little happy dance that makes me chuckle and so at this point I 100% assume it’s for his gun.

He opens it while I’m turned away and then tells me to close my eyes, mind you he does this all the time even when it’s HIS surprise so I didn’t think anything of it, and I obey and turn to him. He grabs my hand and out of nowhere is putting a ring on my finger?!

I open my eyes when I’m told to and he smiles huge saying “it’s not an engagement ring! But it’s my promise to you that it’ll be replaced with one soon. I know it’s cheap and I’m a little late, but I hope you like it.”

We’ve been dating for 3 years so he feels it’s a late promise lol!

But when I tell you I cried 🥺🥺 ......this man got me a promise ring and I had NO clue it was coming. I had been bothering him for awhile about engagement because I’m (almost) 30 weeks pregnant with his son and stopped being pushy so he didn’t feel pressured and could do it how and when he wanted!

But little does he know I’m completely in love with this ring. It’s gorgeous, everything I would want in an engagement or wedding ring and the price has no value to me. It could be a .50¢ gumball machine ring for all I care! It’s perfect and so is he! 💕

(Yes we realize it looks a little tight right now 😂 It doesn’t feel tight at all, but even if it is, I’m almost 30 weeks pregnant, the swelling will go back down!)
