Depo shot???

I recently got the depo shot and was wondering are there any common side effects that they don't really tell you about? I'm a very sexual person so I'm also wondering if this would affect my sex drive in any way? Are there any tips or suggestions that I should consider.

I bled the entire time I was on it, gained a bunch of weight, had no sex drive, and was super hormonal/psycho. Oh and then I got pregnant on it.

Weight gain is extremely common. It affected my mental health, my anxiety went crazy from it and i ended up on antidepressants. My skin became very oily and I started to break out loads more. My sex drive died after about a month of taking it, I literally didn’t find anyone attractive. My periods totally stopped but a lot of people experience constant spotting or bleeding whilst on it. It can also take upto 18 months to get out of your system and a lot of woman struggle to conceive afterward coming off it.

I have the depo the first 3 months I didn't even even want my boyfriend to touch me. My sex drive was gone completely. Like my mood swings were bad and it was the depo that made me crazy.

My boyfriends sister had the depo shot a few years ago and she absolutely hated it. She gained a lot of weight, I’m unsure of how much. She also was depressed and sick a lot. She just went off it and things did go back to normal.

I was only in it for 3 months , I was spotting , throwing up , horrible craps and headaches , my sex drive died , gained a huge amount of weight , and fell into depression. I switched over to the patch and haven’t had any problems since .
