Good news (hopefully)!

I’ll only have 2 weeks of PTO saved when the baby is born, so I originally thought I would have to go unpaid for 10 weeks of my 12-week leave (while having to pay my employer $240/mo for insurance premiums). Obviously this had me and my hubs super stressed, to the point where he was trying to find a second job and I was considering going back to work earlier than I wanted. After talking to my HR rep, I found out that after going without pay for 30 working days (6 weeks), I will likely be eligible for catastrophic leave — which means I would be paid for the last 4 weeks of my leave! 🙌🏻 It’s not ideal, and it’ll still be difficult, but it’s better than what we were expecting. Fingers crossed that I get approved...
