Are you giving your baby real food yet?

I do baby cereal, baby food, and of course breastmilk. I’ve also tried scrambled eggs but I don’t think he understands the concept of chewing yet cuz at first the eggs  just sit in his mouth for a bit. And then when he does swallow it sometimes he sorta gags cuz he doesn’t realize it’s in his mouth. Anyone else???

Yes. I did BLW at 6 months old. She refused ANY purees so I was forced to feed her regular food. She eats what we eat.

The best way for them to learn to chew is by watching you :) try to eat with your LO have him eat at the same time as the rest of the family. Monkey see Monkey do. It can also help them learn to take bites, swallow and use utensils.

Yes. He hasn’t figured out swallowing or chewing but he seems to enjoy all the tastes.

Since 6 months, gagging is completely normal it’s completely new to them and it is a mechanism used to prevent them from choking on a huge piece of food they can’t handle.
