Our pediatrician noted at our two-month checkup that our LO was gaining weight a little slower than she liked, and suggested that we offer a bit more EBM when feeding from a bottle (we were doing trial runs with a nanny since I was about to go back to work). She didn’t seem overly worried.

We increased what we feed him and he now eats about 5 oz per bottle, and nurses for around 30 minutes when I breastfeed.

We are now 12 weeks and only gained 8.5 oz the past two weeks, according to the baby scale. I plan to call the pediatrician on Monday, but I’m concerned.

Have any of your LOs had trouble gaining weight, and if so, what were the likely causes and solutions? I’m anxious that I’m not eating the right foods to make nutritious breast milk.
