One nap?

Has anyone’s baby transitioned to one nap? I’m not sure if we are just going through a leap/phase or if it’s time to transition to one nap.

It seems like it. It’s the biggest fight to get him to take a second nap so a lot of times we’ll just put him down for a nap at 11 ish and then keep him up until 6 which is when we’ll put him to bed.

Cara from takingcarababies just talked about this on her stories the other day. She said around this age they may start to act like they don’t need that second nap but they still do. She suggested capping that first nap at 60 to 70 minutes.

We don’t try to set a schedule for our son. He’s just sort of transitioned himself to one long nap (2-2.5 hours) in the past couple of weeks. He might fall asleep in the car and end up taking a second nap but not consistently.
