Thankful, despite the struggles of TTC

Je

I know TTC is a difficult journey and unfortunately some of us feel that more deeply than others.

We deal with disappointment, sometimes sadly even loss, people asking us “so when are you going to have kids?” “Times ticking!”

We deal with two week waits that drag on FOREVER and more often than not are greeted at the end with a negative test or our periods.

We temp, overanalyse every little symptom, track everything. It sometime becomes our whole life. It can even affect social situations.

I want to take this opportunity to be thankful for my uterus, and for some positives in this crazy TTC journey.

I am thankful for my regular cycles, despite years of abusing the pill and more recently a miscarriage at 3 months which threw my first cycle out and caused a golf ball cyst when I did ovulate.

I’m thankful because after all that stress my body is back to clockwork and I know not everyone is as fortunate. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in hating ourselves and our bodies. I know it’s trying to do what it’s designed to do and sometimes things are out of our control despite our best efforts.

Putting all the love and positive vibes out there that we will all be blessed in 2020 with our own little miracle babies ❤️

What are you ladies thankful for? xx
