Am I crazy?

My little boy is 5 1/2 months old, and we have a very strong bond (my only child) Sometimes when I hold him, it’s almost like a high... Like I love him so much I feel like I’m on another planet. Do any other mommas feel this way? When I explained it to a friend of mine (she doesn’t have any children) she called me a “crazy obsessive parent”.

Oh my goodness. I feel the same way! I was explaining to my inlaws last night how madly in love I am with my daughter and I just can’t get enough. I even get a little jealous when other people hold her even though I’m with her all the time. Never knew love like this, so amazing.

Same here! I get so anxious to hold my little guy after I’ve been at work all day. As soon as I have him in my arms it’s like a shot of happy juice. I just feel better. It’s one of the things I love so much about being a mom.

Not crazy obsessive at all! This is exactly how nature intends us to feel. Snuggling your baby supposedly triggers the release of dopamine to create a euphoric feeling so that you create a strong bond with your baby. Some people just feel it stronger than others.

I feel the same. And Friday at work they tried to keep me late. I got very mama bear ish. Do not mess with my time with my child.
