When do you book newborn photo shoots?

Do you book them before you’ve had the baby or after? 🤨 
I don’t want to book after he’s born and not be able to get him in till he’s over a month, I wanted to get them done while he was still a little fat fresh lump 😂

Most photographers book clients any time after the 12 week scan, some after 20 week scan. Don't wait until baby is born to book as most are booked up and baby needs to be photographed in the first few days.

My photographer I'm using said the best time for a newborn shoot is before 2 weeks and told me as soon as I give birth to give her a message.

I booked mine for a week after my due date and was told to call to change if I went past my due date but she came three days early so she was exactly 10days old when it was done

I’ve had a look on Facebook at some in my area and they’ve advised me to book now (I’m due early March) for 2 weeks after my due date so that she will definitely be here x

Speak to the photographer as I feel like this kind of thing is fairly common. New born photos are best done in the baby's first two weeks, ideally ten days, while they still have that new born look.
I imagine you would pick a provisional date and have a reserve date pencilled in. I feel like week days or off seasons they would be able to be flexible like that.
