Gonal f for iui?

My dr will put me on gonal f but as i can read is that women using this is for ivf and they all have 20 eggs....? Im sooo confused lol  can someone clear me up? When to take it? The difference with letrozole and clomid?

I’m doing gonal f too this month. Clomid and letrozole worked but I didn’t get pregnant.. I think injections have a higher success rate and makes the eggs better quality for fertilization. Did they start u on birth control first? They did to me to stop my body from ovulating so they can control the cycle.
