Did anyone else feel like crying when their first baby turned 1?

I guess I'm heartless because I didn't get sad or want to cry when either of mine had any of their birthdays. But I think it's because toddlerhood is by far by favorite "age" with kids, so I was just excited. They're so much fun as toddlers.

Not me.. but our daughter was a very hard baby. She had reflux, lip ties, only did micro  naps during the day ( 20 min max at a time) and cried hours on end at night . The first year was a year of tears, exhaustion and depression. Shes 3 now and shes a different child all together now. She talks non stop and tells us she loves us and gives dozens of hugs a day. She tells me when she’s hungry right thirsty and shes such a loving angel of a girl. 
I might be the unpopular opinion... but I absolutely do not miss and will not miss the baby stage . It was very hard and it lasted for ever .
I’m absolutely in love with her at this stage . And honestly, the more she grows , the more I absolutely love her outlook on life , her attitude towards everything and the mini human she is . I love her to the moon and back, but I’m glad we are over the crying non stop never sleeping , puking all her milk, stage .

Yes, and that doesn’t get better with more children. My third and last baby turned 1 in November and I balled my eyes out. 😭￼

My son turns 1 in a month and I’ve been crying about it for the like week or two already...lol. I think it’s completely normal. And I guarantee I’ll be crying up until the day he turns 1.

It really doesn't get better. It's so bitter sweet for me. I absolutely adore watching my son learn new things and grow and watching the little person he's becoming, but of course it's going by so fast I'm so scared he's going to be a teenager before I know it. Plus I miss him as a baby too. he was such a fun baby and not mention a really easy baby lol. He's two now and definitely way more work and energy haha but he's a blast. I miss holding him all the time and him needing me for everything and falling asleep on my chest though. People aren't kidding that time flies by and cherish it for sure
