Staple ???

I’m 7 week Postpartum. I had my checkup yesterday and told my OB that I had a little pain from the left side of my Insicion and

she looked at it and said oh that’s just a part of ur staple coming through and told me to just pull it out with tweezers and it will be fine. Every time I touch it, it seems like I’m irritating it. Has anyone gone through this and is it ok to just leave it there???

This same thing happened to me. They used like an absorbing staple that doesn’t need removed at all and sometimes your body rejects some of them and they’ll pop out and yes just grab some tweezers and pull them out. I have had two c sections with the staples and they’re great I have never had an issue with infection, the wound reopening or anything

I would take it out because it's clearly irritating your skin.

I didn’t know they still used staples for a c section. Seems kind of barbaric. Your ob should’ve taken care of it for you if all that’s needed to do is pull it out. I would be uncomfortable doing that myself at home.
