Anyone use a rock n play?!

I have had one since my first child (3 years ago) and I used it for him and our second... I heard they are recalled. Does anyone know about it? My baby is 3 weeks old and loves the rock n play but I only use it during the day while I’m awake and close... my understanding is that they just can’t be used for infants that can roll around and my baby def isn’t doing that yet.... last night our whole family has a head cold and baby was not sleeping unless in the rock n play (he wanted that elevation to help him breath) 
I guess I’m curious if anyone is using a rock n play still and or know anything about the recall?

This article is very informative. It was just published so is very current info. It made me feel horrified that I’d used the rock n play with my first.

The problem is not just rolling, and I actually read an article about how the company sort of tried to make it seem like that was the only problem knowing very well it was not. Babies can’t support their heads, and the angle of the rock in play makes it easy for their heads to slump forward and block off their airways. 
There were numerous cases of infants who died because their heads were not supported properly in it and basically they asphyxiated that way. There’s an article by “consumer reports” you can look up that is pretty horrifying. One of the moms just put her kid in it and was away for a short time getting his food ready when she came back and he’d died because he couldn’t breathe.
We found a gliding swing type thing that reclines to a much flatter and safer angle to have a space to put our baby in.

UGH.... the rock and play 😭😤. My first slept in it like a charm for the first 3-4 months, she hated being flat. I’m too afraid to use it overnight for my new babe since the recall.. but we use it for daytime naps when I can watch him. He also hates being flat, we just don’t sleep now instead of trying an inclined sleeper. We occasionally use the dockatot overnight when we are at our wits end.... but that’s also “not AAP approved” for safe sleep. 
Sigh. I miss sleeping.
