Is there a difference between a toaster oven and an air fryer?

I have a toaster oven I use several times a week. I keep hearing a lot of hype about air fryers, saying they’re mini ovens - but isn’t that the same as a toaster oven?

Air fryer circulates hot air around with very little to no oil, making food feel/taste like they’ve been deep fried...A toaster oven is like a mini oven- used by heat coils to bake things. 
That’s how I perceive it, at least.

Toaster ovens don’t fry food. Unless they have an air frying option. An air fryer is a fryer without all the oil

They aren’t the same. 
I have an air fryer, and I use it to cook chicken breasts, fries, onion rings, heat up leftover pizza, etc.
