Birth story I'd like to share 😁
My DS was born on the 1st of november. Planned on a VB with meds (I was tiny and suspected he would be big cause I gained 50 lbs during the pregnancy). While in the labor room he kept spinning and moving SO much that they kept having to move the monitor. I was only at 4 cm dialated when I got my epidural amd they had to manually break my water. Right after that my contractions stopped completely (I was so numb that i didnt notice). The nurses noticed and called in the doctor knowing I would have to give birth that day cause of the water situation. Doc came in and calmly asked "so how do you feel about a c-section?" Making it seem like it was still just an option. I told him I didnt care as long as everyone is healthy. All of a sudden everyone around us started running to get everything ready to go into the operating room. Ok, fuck this is really happening. C-section went fine and all except I bled ALOT (I am also anemic, have been since a teenager) Turned out my baby had the cord wrapped around him multiple times (neck and shoulders) because he was moving so much. He's completely healthy and no other complications. They called my SO over to see him when he came out and asked if he wanted to hold him after cutting the cord. My SO was like "she did all the work, she should hold him fir...." and he turned around to look at me. He instead got full view of me still splayed open on the operating table with the docs trying to suck up all the blood. "Welp nevermind I'll hold him" he said. I was completely out of it from the adrenaline and blood lost that I was just bawling my eyes out. We have a perfectly healthy baby boy and an interesting story to tell :)
TLDR : SO turned around mid-c-section and got full view of my insides. And still took it like a champ.
