We dated for roughly 8 months. It was a LDR. I'm in New York. He is in Liverpool. I truly thought it was going alright. We would do our best to talk every day. And we tried just as hard to see each other. We did our best to see each other every other month. So we saw each other in April, June, August/September (it was the end of august into early September) and then the end of Novemeber.

It was my turn to book. I found a cheap flight. Just before I booked it, he was like actually babe I want to come there and see you. I was like okay cool.

By the way, I do NOT have a credit card anymore. It took me 3 years to pay off a credit card that I wasted so once it was paid I took a break from credit cards. So normally when we book flights, I borrow my dads credit card to book it and give him the cash right away so he can put it on his card. The now ex boyfriend has always normally been good at paying it back when he gets here or etransfering half now and half when he gets here or whatever.

Long story short. We booked a flight for early January. The 3rd. Booked it in November. Two weeks later he messaged me (ON SNAPCHAT) to say that he met someone new and wasn't going to be on that plane and apologized if i was hurt.

I was hurt. Once the initial pain wore off a bit, I mentioned to him about a week later that my dad had paid $630 for his ticket and since we are no longer together, at some point he needs to pay him back. He just said OK. That was it. And he has been quiet ever since.

I messaged him yesterday and asked if he had a plan set up to pay back the ticket. He said YA and that was it.

Please keep in mind, I always pay for my ticket (pay back my dad credit card) and before he has always paid my dad back too.

And now that we clearly are not together who is obligated to pay this? Him? Me? Or both of us? Or comment
