So my sister and I started talking about my upcoming baby shower and where to have it.

My parents have a huge building that is perfect for parties. My mom will be doing the majority of the work for the shower so I think it be great to have it there so she can do everything at her own pace.

The problem is my husband and I live over an hour away from my parents. My husband's family lives around him.

He thinks it's not fair to make his family drive that far and my family not have to drive far and wants to have it at a central location.

We had my wedding shower at a central location and maybe 10 of the 75 guests were from his family. Most of his family rsvp'd then just didnt show up.

There aren't a lot of venues that are in the middle and the venue we used for the bridal shower is expensive and I dont want to put that cost on my mother.

Am I being unreasonable for wanting the shower at my parents?
