Is teething every day?

Sounds like a weird question, but I am pretty sure my baby is teething. She has all the signs and everything. However, some days she seems to lose all signs and has a really good day with no pain or fussiness and then the next day it's bad again. Does this mean it's not teething or is it normal for teething to ease off for a day here and there before any teeth break through ?

I'd say it's off and on for the first 2.5 years, yes.

Teeth can push a good long while before they're ready to break through. So far I've concluded that my daughters recats with all the teething signs when they push a lot, and not so much when they break through actually.
We thought she started teething at 3 months. At 5 months we were sure. Only cold things to chew on could calm her down. She got her teeth just before she was 7 months.
