sensitive skin

i’ve had this problem for as long as i can remember, and i honestly have no idea what to do about it. the skin on and around my vagina is extremely sensitive, and regularly splits and cracks. it’s never like a huge cut or anything, just small but seriously uncomfortable. i didn’t know if this was a common thing, and if there was something i could do to stop it or at least minimize?
