Is this habit common

Well my husband of 3 years is a very chill guy goes with the flow doesn’t expect me to be this very submissive whatever he says goes type guy , but naturally I’m very very submissive and sometimes I catch myself asking his permission for even the simplest things and I really don’t know why . We could be watching a movie and out of nowhere I will say something like

“ his name , can I use the bathroom ?” Or if I’m shopping I will text him asking can I buy something that wasn’t exactly in the budget . Or I will literally ask him can I take off my jeans at night because I have a hard habit of leaving them on when I go to bed . Ive been doing this since the beginning of our marriage relationship, and ive brought it up a few times and he just says it doesn’t bother him but sometimes I know he thinks a grown woman asking him can she do certain things is a bit off . I mean sometimes I just think it’s an extension of my submission . Side note I also beg him to spank me when he gets mad at me and is about to argue or debate with me . It’s saved lots of pointless never ending squabbles and going to bed angry . I’m not sure why I’m the way I am towards him . It’s just Everytime I’m around him I feel a overwhelming desire to give him the upmost respect love on him and work for his approval . Again could be submission but even when I’m not in that mood it’s how I act ..
