I overheard my mother in law today talking about how she wants to get my 6 months olds ears pierced. I’m completely against it, I won’t pierce her ears until she is old enough to say she would like it done. It’s just not something I’d like to do to my baby. Getting your ears pierced hurts and I honestly don’t want to inflict that pain on my daughter just so she can look “pretty”. I’m not against parents who do get their babies ears pierced at all it’s just not something I would want to do to my baby that’s all. I’m a little worried as my mother in law can get bossy and pushy. I’m afraid she will do it without my consent.
