How soon after c-section did you stop being numb?

FTM with scheduled c-section coming up. Pretty anxious about the procedure, mostly around not being able to move and having a panic attack while stuck on the table. How soon after you're all stitched up and in recovery do you start to feel less numb? I understand you cant walk for some hours and theres the pain the consider too...just want to prepare mentally for how long I have to feel numb

It’s been 18 months and it’s still numb around the incision. Sometimes I get a burning sensation when I touch it... it’s weird.

I've had 8 c sections & have no feeling at the incision scar anymore. When my surgery is over & they put me in recovery. I have no feeling in my abdomen for at least 48hr due to an injection they give me in my muscles but I'm up within 6-8hr walking around like I didn't just have major surgery. It's different for everyone & how everyone tolerates pain. Good Luck & Congratulations on your little one

Okay so in Canada you do the c-section which didn’t take long at all. They were so busy working on me and I was talking to my support partner that time went by fast, felt like ten minutes. I had two different c-sections. About to have my third.
After they were born we went to recovery, I watched them bath, give them a needle (for blood clotting, to make babies blood thicken), dress them. Pass them to me for feeding/or bottle. They checked my blood pressure a lot, took off my cloth that was placed on the incision. An hour of being in the recovery we were moved to our room where a nurse met me. She took out my catheter, helped me slowly get up (I was pretty light headed both times) and she walked me to the bathroom to clean me up, I bled a lot (not painful) so she washed my feet and legs while she told me to pee. After going to the bathroom I didn’t feel dizzy and was starting to get my energy back, I noticed the more I was up and walking the less sore and weak I felt. I started getting my own water, changing and feeding baby by myself. I never rested for hours unless it was night time and even then, I woke up and I got up to feed them and change diapers. I was in the hospital four days straight the first time and three days straight the second time.

Depending on if your put under or if you’re awake I’m sure it changes. I was awake during mine and starting gaining feeling a hour after the medications they gave me.

I’ve had 2 c-sections and my legs were totally numb for probably a couple hours afterwards. However, I was so wrapped up in enjoying my babies that I didn’t feel any panic or anxiety about it.
