Toddler weight loss

Is it normal for kids to loss weight at almost 15 months? My son had an appointment today and in the last 2 months he lost a whole pound. Hes always been a big kid hes 27lbs now. he is a very active kid the doctor didn't mention it so I assume it's normal?
