How long would you let your 1yo cry during nap time?

I just put my 1yo down and he napped for like 10 minutes and then he woke up. I checked his diaper and did our nap time routine again but he’s up fussing. How long should I let him go? I really needed some quiet time during nap time today 😞

For me it depends... is it a whiny cry because he doesn’t want to be in bed or is it an actual cry?  If he’s whining I will leave him for a bit because he has FOMO and doesn’t always want to nap even though he’s exhausted.
If he’s crying I will go back in and see what’s wrong and soothe him. I try not to take him out of his bed unless absolutely necessary. 
It’s very apparent with my child. If he’s standing up... he needs something
If he’s sitting or laying, he’s just mad he’s in bed

0 minutes. My son is 3 and we don’t believe in CIO for psychological and emotional reasons. 
My son is rocked to sleep for every nap and he’s rocked to sleep at bedtime. I’ll rock him as long as he wants until whatever age he wants, until he tells me no.

I would let them cry until they fell asleep. I totally believe in it. My children are all fantastic sleepers and happy content secure children because they are not sleep deprived. I go in and check every 10 minutes, kiss, leave, repeat until they sleep.

I dont believe in letting my kids CIO. 
So I wouldnt let them at all. 
If they just fussed maybe a few minutes but actual crying, not at all.

We don’t do cry it out. Seems cruel to me, although I know some swear by it. I’ll let him fuss for five minutes but no more than that. I get needing quiet time, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Maybe take him out, play for a bit (maybe outside) and try again. Sometimes fresh air can help.

If they are alone in their crib, I wouldn’t leave them to cry at all. If you are rocking them to sleep, they can cry as long as they want to cry because you’ll be supporting their tears the whole time.

10 minutes is what our sleep plan allots for fussing or crying. Then you go in and pat pat pat, say I love you, start over again. I’ve had to do it twice in like 2 months. Normally babe goes to bed quickly.

i hated them cry out method but it was my last hope as he was 10 months and still not sleeping on his own. I did an all black room, and would go in every 15-20 minutes if he was still crying and soothe him and leave again. If he was screaming and crying his poor little lungs out i would go in, give him a cuddle until he’s was calm and try again. I would never let him be screaming and crying until he went to sleep i feel like that’s so cruel 😭
