Elopement stories??

I want to hear your elopement stories! My fiancé and I are thinking about eloping. We can’t afford a wedding at all so we’re thinking about just getting a marriage license and a photographer and eloping!! Any advice on how to go about it? Please share your stories!!😊

My husband and I got a photographer, went to a lake with our parents and my best friend/ his sister and exchanged vows. It was perfect (except the freezing cold) and so simple. We even went to Taco Bell after 🤷‍♀️😂

My husband and I eloped in the mountains! It was beautiful. We hired a photographer and videographer. And had our parents there. Best. Day. Ever.

We went to the courthouse on a Monday morning (our four year anniversary as a couple), posted the news on social media, turned off our phones, and immediately left town and went to Disney World. Our immediate families and a few VERY close friends knew beforehand, but no one else was aware until after the fact. It was great. Haven’t regretted a thing over the last 6 years.

Best decision weve made. We went to another city, hired hair/makeup/photographers/etc. stayed in a cabin, got married in the snow. I always tell people that I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world because we actually had FUN and did something NEW.

My husband and I eloped in Vegas. It was the best thing I ever did! 🥰 Our wedding day was 100% just about us. We had 3 very close friends come with, but that’s it. I would definitely recommend it.

Wedding ceremonies and parties aren't our thing, so we eloped! We didn't even tell anyone until after. 
We just did the paperwork for the license, and set up a time with the justice of Peace at the town hall. It was easy. 
Totally not everyone's style, but we're pretty introverted so it was perfect!
