Did zoloft/sertraline cause side effects for you? And did it help with your depression?

I was just given zoloft and I'm nervous about starting it.

I took it for anxiety and found it actually gave me more anxiety, made me really dizzy, and nauseous. But everyone reacts different.

I honestly don't/didn't really have any side effects from it. At first I had trouble falling asleep but that faded off within a couple weeks. My husband's only side effects from it were feeling 'off' and a bit of nasauea for the first couple weeks as well. Pretty much all medication will have some form of effect on you at the very beginning until your body adjusts to it. Just take it with food and don't expect to have zero side effects, and know that any you do get will likely fade off within a month or so

It only did when I took it during pregnancy. It made me nauseous and dizzy.

I've been on 50 mg of zoloft for a year exactly now. It definitely helps. My only side effect is low sex drive. It sucks but since I'm ttc this is the safest medication to take before, during & after pregnancy. So I'm just dealing with it
