how to properly clean down there ?

i’ve recently felt like my vigina smell was a little off , but i’m not sure how to take care of it the right way. i know your not supposed to put anything inside the vigina , but can u wash under / inside the lip folds with normal body wash or baby soap to help clean it or no ? i want to buy a wash that’s just meant for your vigina , but i’m 16 and my mom knows i have a bf so shes gonna think i want all this vigina cleaning stuff bc i’m having sex and stuff like... I AMMM BUT I DONT WANT HER TO KNOW LOL😭and now i’m becoming more self conscious bc i do have a bf and i dont feel want him to think i smell bad when he goes down or fingers me. but then i also heard those vigina washes aren’t good for ur ph balance like vagisil . what do you recommend i use ? preferably something that’s discreet

I’ve used soap and water my whole life and never had issues . I feel like we all need a tad bit of soap to wash not none at all lol thats just my opinion , definitely nothing scented though !!

You should only be washing your vagina (very thoroughly) with water. Those vagina soaps are gimmicks and can cause irritation and infections! Make sure you change your panties daily and after working out. If you’re young and sexually active, talk to a doctor or clinic about birth control.

Well summers eve does help the smell of your vagina and it isn’t just for your vagina you can use it for your whole body🤷🏻‍♀️ you could pick it out & act like you don’t even know it helps with your vagina smell or you could be straight up & tell your mom that your vagina smells lol or what you can also do is right before you & your bf get intimate go to the bathroom & wash down there really fast with a wash cloth or even just a wipe🤷🏻‍♀️ ive done that

Just clean with water and a wash cloth. You don’t need soap. Also pay attention to the materials of your underwear. Try to wear more underwear with breathable material like cotton.  Avoid nylons, polyester, and spandex. Those will make you smell more because the material doesn’t breathe and will trap odors more than cotton does. If you wear panty liners a lot in your underwear, that will also trap moisture and odor. They’re nice for catching regular discharge but our vaginas need to breathe. 
I try to buy underwear that is at least 80% cotton, if not more. Look for ones that are around 95% cotton and 5% spandex just for a little stretch. Those are usually your best option. 
And if you feel comfortable, don’t wear underwear at night. You can wear loose shorts or pajama pants and it will help your vagina breathe and air out a little bit.

U can wash the vulva/labia with soap & water. If ur more sensitive down there, then use a mild soap like Dove. But, I wash that area & in between the labia with whatever body wash I happen to have & it works for me. The only brands of soap that have given me an issue are Zest & Irish Spring... they give me a weird odor on contact, so I stay away from those brands.

Wear cotton underwear! Yes they make cute ones now lol not like the fruit of the loom packaged ones 😂
I noticed after I bought like ten pairs of the spandex-like “no show” underwear from VS that things smelled worse. It’s literally only when I wear that underwear so I threw them out (except for one pair for a couple dresses that show everythingggggg else underneath 🙄).
