First iui trigger shot

I cried so much...I literally couldn't make myself stick myself so my husband had to do it for me. I'm not a baby with blood draws, I survived a para cervical block for my HSG, I used to get allergy shots as a kid...but I've never had to give myself a shot. It didnt hurt and I felt foolish afterwards, but I'm glad it's over. I've worked as a certified surgical technologist for 11 years...I've been ingrained to not stick myself with needles. Any other ladies have some anxiety with this? Or am I just super pathetic?
