when does the second trimester end?

i’ve been looking up some info on it and i’ve been getting a bunch of mixed answers lol. comment what you think!

It's either 27 or 28 weeks

I see two different OBs. One said the second trimester is over at the end of 26 weeks (so the start of 27 weeks would start the 3rd trimester) and one said the end of 27 weeks (so the start of 28 weeks would start the 3rd trimester. All in all, if you divide the 40 weeks of pregnancy into 3 trimesters, they would each be roughly 13 weeks and 3 days long.. Making the end of the second trimester at the end of 27 weeks.
