Daycare babies

How did your baby settle at daycare? We are just starting a day a week for now until he’s full time in March for me going back to work and my son is going through separation anxiety he hated the hour he was there. Even with me. I’m heartbroken about leaving him 😭 what about sleeping... he usually settles with a pacifier and falls asleep himself. If he’s at my parents it’s a different crib he refuses to sleep. He’s 9 months. Help and advice please? 😭
