I found out my 16 year old son has been having sex. It was time for his monthly phone check. I was starting to go through everything and he told me "Theres something you should know." I said what? He said "Theres an explicit conversation in my messages with my girlfriend" I said "And why are you guys sexting?" And he said "Because we had sex last week." I asked him does he have condoms and he said yes. I told him that this is unacceptable and that I will be keeping his phone. He begged me not to punish him, but I just sent him to bed. I let him know I'm not beyond angry, just disappointed. I know that people here will say just give him the safe sex talk. I did and I know that is necessary. However, I am strongly against CHILDREN having sex. Children don't have sex lives, they just don't. I would have prefered him wait. I'm not like those insane moms on here who went batshit crazy. I understand that teens are hormonal. I would just like to give him a fair punishment.
