What should I do need advice

So me And this guy was talking for a month and we just made it official now he’s 16 years older than me but I really like him and he makes me extremely happy so I told my friends and they like you are moving to fast and it may not work etc just really negative stuff and he also picks me up from work cause I get off late I told him he doesn’t have to but he wouldn’t take no for an answer and when I told my friend that he was like no girl you should be having three different dudes picking you up like suggesting that I should be playing dudes and that was never me I need advice should I show things down or just go with the flow of things and my friend is single and the other one cheats
