He cheated on me

Anyways my boyfriend of two years confessed to cheating on me after Christmas. He told me a few days ago that he stopped and that he did nothing more than being forcefully kissed and I guess it happened 3 times.(he said they were just pecks and a believe him because he’s not a great kisser) he swore they didn’t hug or were touchy it was more of a quick lean of her part to try and kiss him. I feel stupid because it seems like I’m justifying him. He swears he loves me and he didn’t want to hurt me. He said that he loves me and doesn’t want to loose me but he just wanted to be honest. But I feel so embarrassed for taking him back. I feel betrayed. This woman is a coworker of his and she’s married and has 3 kids oh and is 10 years older than us. They did txt here and then but I never saw anything bad. Yeah it bothered me but idk if he deleted convos. Idk how to feel after this. I moved out here with him to build a future with him. I can’t go back home id die of embarrassment. I feel like I can forgive him but I feel ashamed for taking him back. I know I’m all over the place but I know it could’ve been worse. So am I stupid for staying or would you have given him another chance. HELP !!

Also: he quit his job and I do know where he’s at all the time even before this incident. He said he was nice and played around but with everyone. But she took it the wrong way. I have his passwords to everything since we started dating. And yeah I know being kissed 3 times my man is too nice he’s the type of person that won’t say anything to the other person because he’s scared to hurt peoples feelings. But I did txt this woman and she acuses him of txting and expressing feelings for her and when I ask for proof she has absolutely none. He’s told her to leave him alone multiple times he even has txted her in front of me and she still bothers him. I know it sounds like I’m covering for him but all this really happened.
