Do you feed your 6/7 month old?

Do you feed your 6/7 month old their solids or do you let them feed themselves? 
Ive started to make my sons food a little thicker and then pour it onto his high chair and let him use his hands to feed himself 
I’ve gotten mixed reviews on this from him being so young and I’m curious what everyone else does

We mostly do BLW. However, several times a week we do purées. Baby girl is a big eater and will often want to feed herself using the spoon.

I put yes because we mainly do purees so I feed her with a spoon, but sometimes we give her pieces of pancakes, bananas, egg, things like that to pick up herself

She won’t let me feed her! So we do BLW I sometimes sneak a few spoonfuls of purée in while she’s eating something else!

I do both! I pour half on tray and she smacks it around and licks her hands and I spoon feed her it too. Then I let her use the spoon and play around some more

We do purées & I will put some onto her spoon and she will take it and feed herself from there. She loves to play with her spoons 😂

We mostly do BLW, but sometimes I will spoon feed her a yogurt for lunch... She tries grabbing the spoon though and will only let me feed her apricot yogurt. Any other yogurt she isn't interested enough to let me feed her.

We do purées is I feed her but when I give her her teething treats she feeds herself. And we started putting cut banana and things in front of her while we eat so she can try plus she kept watching us and reaching for our food

We do BLW. I was nervous the first time, I gave her half a banana, but she knew just what to do! Now I give her an open cup of water and she totally understand she needs to sip from the cup. Blows my mind. 
She eats what we eat, I just set aside an unsalted portion for her. We had Ethiopian food for dinner last night. 😂

We do both. I have eggs or toast or other food in front of him that he feeds himself but I also have oatmeal or fruit/veggie purées that I help load a spoon for him or feed him sometimes when he wants me to

We do pureed whatevers in the morning and whatever she can eat that I made for dinner. She feeds herself mostly though.
