I was having contractions on and off yesterday started at 9. 30something seconds, some 40something seconds and some 50something seconds for about 3 hours on and off. They stopped for about 25 minutes and started back up again. I called L&D and was told that they werent long enough and there would be nothing that they would be able to do and that i was probably just dehydrated, to drink some water and just lay down. That i did and after laying down the contractions came back STRONGER AND LONGER.. Lasting 45seconds PLUS, some being 1 minute. Came to L&D still contracting. As im getting my cervix checked, my water broke and the nurse said i was 5cm. So at this point im SCARED. I got an epidural with my first so i was begging for it and was in so much pain. They move me to another room and not even 30 minutes of me being there he was READY. I was told not to push but i had to push. 2 pushes and my son was here. I had no time to get the epidural and he was already crowning while they were putting thr IV in my hand. Crazy but such a loving moment and I would do it all over again.
