Are your 2 year olds forward facing yet?

My sons legs are bent and don’t go straight anymore. He’s very tall. Should I move him forward facing ?

My daughter is forward facing (judge me I don’t care) and she is perfectly fine 🤷🏼‍♀️. Our state law says they have to be 2 to forward face and I turned her right after two but she would scream because it got so uncomfortable. But she’s also 3’5 at 2.5 so she’s very very tall for her age.

Mine is still rear facing. It's safer for them to have to cross their legs than it is to forward face. Their spines might not be fully supportive of their bodies in a crash until age six (for some kids it's earlier but there's no way to know without an xray), so I figure it's better to hurt her legs than break her neck or back 🤷🏻‍♀️

My guy isn’t yet. We’re going to do rear facing as long as possible. His legs kind of look uncomfortable? But he doesn’t really complain so maybe not? Haha. I’ve seen 4 year olds rear face too though with their legs crossed.

Don’t move him on account of his length. Until he reaches the height or weight capacity of his car seat try not to move forward facing. I had to do it earlier than I wanted because my little guy literally would have a tantrum getting into his seat Every dang time. It was the worst. Now he is happy to sit and get buckled 75% of the time! Being 2 is hard.

Yes forward facing. He’s always been on the bigger side for weight and it’s been much easier having him forward

My daughter is pretty tall. Already bending her knees even with the fully extended extend to fit, but not showing signs of being uncomfortable so I'm leaving her for as long as I can. Preferably at least another 14 months so that if I turn her and my youngest get upset, she will be two also and I can forward face then both 😅
