Hospital again or doctor call?

My 2 year old son has a lump on his groin. I just noticed it now but it’s like the size of a 50p coin. I’m definitely going to call doctors in the morning but do you think I should go A&E. Also if your child/ren had the same,what was it?
Edit- I forgot to add it hurts him when I touch it.

Pain to touch is actually a good sign. It's probably just a swollen lymph node which can be caused by simple things such as allergies or a common cold. It should disappear within a week if that's the case.

Actually breasts cancer has no pain, it rarely does, but def take him to the doctors or to the hospital might be anything from a hernia to a testicle problem

If theres pain with the lump, i’d take him in. Is there a doctor on call at your pediatricians office whom you can ask? I have no experience but lumps with pain scare me. I think of breast lumps= potential breast cancer.

You could do a hernia test and put him in a warm bath and when he gets put see if it's still there. If it's not it's probably a hernia.

I would ring the doctors tomorrow morning! It could just be a gland!
