Sleeping all day?

My daughter is 9 weeks and 2 days and she’s been sleeping a good bit today. Last night she didn’t really fall asleep until 4 in the morning, could that be why she’s sleeping so much today? Even yesterday she napped a good bit of the day. Is this normal?

Yes, newborns sleep a lot and there really isn’t any rhyme or reason to their sleeping patterns until they get older.

They definitely sleep a lot the first few months — I imagine her not fully sleeping until 4am contributed to it as well!
