I RARELY get cold sores but I guess with my hormones being out of whack, one popped up... does anyone know any life changing cold sore hacks I need to know because it is NOT fun

I get cold sores ALL THE TIME. I am even on medication for them. but before I was on medication, I would get natural apple cider vinegar and soak the end of a q-tip in it. put that on the cold sore. it dries it out and kills the virus. once it scabs over you won’t have to do it anymore. and just a warning, it stings a little and it stinks. don’t leave it on too long because it will cause your skin to get irritated. also, keep up your immune system. it helps your body stay up against the virus. if they are persistent or are really bad and painful like mine, definitely see a doctor and see if you can get put on an antiviral. there are topical ointments you can get prescribed too. also, abreva is a joke and way too expensive. don’t even try lol.
