My LO is 4 weeks old & it still KILLS me to breastfeed! When I left the hospital, I was pumping because of the pain, so, I was going to just pump and feed. Well, for some reason, pumping wasn’t draining me & I wasn’t getting much milk at all, but even after pumping for 30 mins, I’d have tons of milk wanting to come out while hand expressing, so I’m forced to start breastfeeding again. After breastfeeding her for a whole day 7am-8pm, my nipples HURT. & I mean hurt, to the point where they’re almost purple & they’re cracked. I don’t know if maybe the baby isn’t opening her mouth wide enough or if I just have super sensitive nipples. Is anyone else struggling with this?! I’ve been using nipple cream since leaving the hospital and that isn’t even helping! Help me!!
