Is sex during early pregnancy safe?

I know there’s no studies showing it can cause miscarriages, but we tried for years and are finally pregnant. I used my vibrator once after finding out, and after orgasming I had spotting for a few days. It’s been a week since the spotting and I have refrained from inter course with my hubby but we miss eachother tons. I know I sound like a troll, it just truly is one of my concerns and just was looking for some tips on safe sex during the first trimester
