Acupuncture for cats

Hi! So I have a cute little 8 month old kitten and he was diagnosed with spina bifida and manx syndrome when he was about 14 weeks old, we took him to a specialty clinic that focused solely on cats and she said we could try acupuncture to help him regain control of his bowels and bladder and I was wondering if anybody has done this and how it went for them or if it worked at all
