“Thoughts and prayers” sincere on social media?

Does it bother you when people post on social media calling for “thoughts and prayers” and the like for things like Australia, burning of Notre Dame, etc. but don’t do the same, recognize or acknowledge bad things happening in other parts of the world (like Iraq, Sudan, Venezuela, etc)? Of course, the suffering of same shouldn’t be compared or disregarded, and yet it seems disingenuous to not recognize all suffering? We can’t all spend time acknowledging all suffering, but I tend to see trends (yes, among my personal circle of contacts) caring mostly for ”western” issues.
