How often does your toddler (12-18m) respond to their name?

How often do you need to say their name? What situations are they less likely to respond?

If i’m just calling him he always will but if i’m calling him because he’s being naughty then he will 100% zone out and act like i’m not talking 😂

Rarely. She knows her name, but she’s got more important things to do than listen to me in her mind.

For a while he only responded to his nickname, but he's a Jr. Now when I call my husband my son thinks I'm talking to him and gets frustrated that I'm calling him but not looking at him. When he's naughty he will giggle and look away from me.

I said 70-90% because she ignores me on purpose, unless she hears the "thats dangerous" tone in my voice. She completely ignores anyone who isn't in our immediate family, to the point my parents think she needs her hearing checked 🙄 they refuse to believe that she's just a brat lol

I said 50 to 70 percent because I dont use his real name too often haha. I call him son or baby 90 percent of the time but he always responds to that haha. His real name takes a little longer for him to realize who I'm talking to haha.
