Weaning - when does milk production stop?

Question

I breastfed my LO for almost 11m (but exclusively only 6m). I stopped bf 16 days ago. I didn’t go cold turkey - 2 weeks or so before stopping I was bf only once a day.
And today - after 16 days of no bf - I wake up with enlarged (not much, just a bit, doesn’t cause pain, just a bit of discomfort) breast. I can express milk with my hand. 
Is this normal?

I've heard that drinking peppermint tea and rubbing peppermint oil on your chest will dry it up. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve heard a lot about putting cabbage leaves in your bra.. sounds bizarre but it’s supposed to help you dry up

I could still express milk a year after weaning. But I think (if I remember correctly) I was no longer engorged after about 2 weeks

Took me 3 months to dry up completely, I was only nursing for sleep towards the end, and he gave it up cold turkey due to an cold, I was surprised at how long I still lactated for!

Some women lactate for years after stopping. With my first I breastfed her for 6 weeks that was it. And 2 years later I heard a crying baby and I legit started lactating weirdest thing ever.
