37+5, is anyone else swelling TERRIBLY?!

Chelsey

Is anyone else swelling wicked badly? I’m 37+5 today, due 1/29, FTM, with a family history of pre-eclampsia, also liver resection (still only have half liver, long story).

I’m still working (I’m a case worker, spend a lot of time either sitting at my desk seeing clients, or sitting in the car on the way to client home visits etc). Just recently, maybe within the last week, I basically can no longer fit in any of my shoes without my feet tingling and feeling semi numb all day from how swollen they are, and my fingers look like mini sausages. The swelling in my feet is pitting (if i apply pressure with my finger tips, the imprint of them lasts for quite awhile). I try to keep my feet elevated at home as much as I can, and i drink a TON of water. No shoes at work really isn’t an option due to professionalism. I’ve tried different socks and everything. I’ve mentioned my increased swelling at my appt last week but the doctor didn’t seem concerned and honestly it wasn’t this bad at the appt. I see my doctor again on Friday, and planned on bringing it up, but also don’t know if I should wait.

I know swelling is normal in pregnancy, especially late in the game but is this bad normal? I was really hoping to stay working until I got closer to my due date, but now I’m not sure if I can or if I should.
