Tips for solo sleep

My daughter goes down easy during bedtime in her crib (she also takes her naps during the day) but after an hour she starts screaming.

We really want her to start sleeping through the night alone because she does when she’s with us. (I know we should have let her long time ago but my husband kept saying she’s too small and we’ve traveled quite a bit last year so she was always getting disrupted anyway)

Any tips for late solo crib sleep ? Should we just let her cry? Or pat her back to sleep every time? TIA
