Any Climbing out of crib advice for a FTM??

AB

Baby boy is only 10months but is very tall and strong for his age. He’s cruising and balancing but not quite walking.

Over the weekend he started doing “pull-ups” in the side of the crib trying to walk his feet up the sides. Crib is at lowest setting. And we caught him doing it multiple times and days over the last few.

I know he’s still a ways off from successfully getting up and over but I’m soooo scared of him falling out. My colleague’s 16month old broke his arm in December falling out of their crib so that’s not easing my mind.

He just seems too young to be doing this but he is so we will have to figure it out.

How long from when you saw this “pull-up” starting to when your baby was getting up and over?

When do we switch to the toddler rail?

Is there a “too early” when switching to the toddler rail?

Thanks!!
