long distance
okay this is my first time making a post but i just want some more opinions...
I am Australian on an excahnge in France for a year, on my first day at school i met this boy and we instantly clicked. When i first arrived i could barely say a word of french and same with him but for english so obviously there was trouble having a proper conversation but just being around each other felt like we’d known each other for ages. We both caught feelings fast for each other but i explained i didn’t want a relationship because I didn’t know if i would do long distance when i went back to aus and i didn’t want to be in a relationship knowing i’m going to be breaking up at the end of year. After a few months and after many conversations on long distance we decided that we both want to at least try, so now we are in a relationship and planning on figuring out what feels right when the time comes for me to go home. I’m going to be going back home soon and I have mixed feelings about whether it will work long distance, what are your opinions on long distance? we also have a 8-9 hour time zone. I will be graduating school in a year and so if i can’t go back before then, i will definitely go back at the end of school but a year is a long time and i feel that long distance might not only break our relationship but also our underlying friendship and bond.
Any advice?
