Get or don’t get for baby?

I’m currently pregnant with my first baby￼￼, we haven’t started shopping yet but we will in the next month or two. What would you say is an absolute must to have in the nursery or just for the baby in general and what is a complete waste?￼￼

Soft Silicone Wipe Clean Waterproof Baby Bibs 2 Pack - BPA Free
You won’t need this for a little bit yet but my big recommendation is a silicone pocket bib (similar to the one below - any brand).  Forget those other fabric bibs with Velcro that gets caught on things during the wash, that you have to go through dozens of. All you need are two of these. One for home and one for the diaper bag. Just rinse them off and they’re good to go. It keeps food off their lap to. Love these things.

Pack n play. If you spend the night at someone else’s house or you want he baby the be close by but in a safe spot you can move it around the house where as a wooden crib would stay in the room. I wouldn’t buy pacifiers until after the baby is born just in case the baby might not even want one (like mine) or may want a certain design of nipple. Get maybe 3 sleep sacks. Osh kosh just had a buy 3 get 3 free sale. But they always have sales so definitely buy some. You don’t really need a diaper bag unless you want to carry around a bag and your purse. My purse is big enough to carry everything my daughter needs for the day which is diapers, wipes, water bottle, bottle, formula, extra clothes and baby food pouches. Also don’t get a swing or baby bouncer etc. it’s a waste of money when you can rock your child on your lap.
